The metro bus shelter is a new and innovative shelter design by ARA Shelters & Structures. The shelter uses a number of proprietary extrusions to produce an attractive, scalable and cost-effective shelter that provides the public with a superior level of comfort and safety. The extrusions are designed to facilitate glass replacement and maintenance and to accommodate sloping sites.
The metro shelter has a number of custom options including roof design, modular length, width, colour, front protection, panel selection (glass, perforated panel, acrylic, wood) and lighting options (solar or mains). The shelter can even be readily customised for electronic displays. Our metro shelters are currently being used throughout the Auckland region for regular bus stops as well as for more larger bus stations (e.g. 30m in length).
