After working with the developer on a concept design, CAM was contracted to design and build a large 53m cantilevered glass canopy, to be installed along the front of the new office building at the TAIT campus in Christchurch.  The design and engineering of this canopy was particularly challenging as it was a flowing curved structure made from galvanised steel structure and glass.  The design also had to incorporate two 5m raised sections for fire egress purposes.  Subsequent to the project, CAM was then awarded a design and build contract for 6 large 8m x 3m carpark shelters.  This was a very high profile development which was opened by the Prime Minister of NZ.
